"There", "They're" and "Their."
- I hate when people use "there, they're and their" incorrectly. Would you like me to define them for you?
There - in or at that place. Example: "The man is over there."
They're - a contraction of they are. Example: "They're going out for lunch today."
Their - it belongs to someone. Example: "That is their car."
Understand now? So could you please use the words correctly?

I know!!!! It pisses me off too.
I know! I always want to correct people but I don't want to hurt their feelings or something, especially if they're otherwise pretty intelligent. haha.
I know!!! Living with a hick doesn't help either.
Oh god ya. I also hate it when people misuse "to" "too" and "two".
I turn into such a grammarnazi whenever people make mistakes such as these
Go for that one. It is one of the few I don't do. Anymore than any other typo
THANK YOU!!!
I have a huge pet peeve on people who use these words incorrectly!! Especially my cousins sometimes because she's in college to be a teacher to little kids. She wants to be an ENGLISH teacher and she is always correcting me on these words.. "Hey cousin, I saw my friends today. They're going out for a walk on the beach." My cousins correction "No, it's their going for a walk on the beach" *Facepalm* How old are you again!?! Sorry lol
TY!!
It's funny how people can mess that up. I thought we all learned this in ... oh my forgot what friggen grade we learned this in. I do know it was many moons ago!
Amen to that.
Also, I really really really hate it when people write "tomarrow" instead of "tomorrow". I don't know why, that one just really bugs me.
mistakes are made when speed typing, I admit I sometimes make those mistakes.
The world needs more language people. I am not great at english (I blame it on the fact that my first language was German) but my wife and kdis are always noticing grammatical and spelling errors in public signs and printed materials (and my writing and speaking, too!).
@chaospet - i have never seen this error before... tomarrow? really?
I have a hard time taking someone seriously when they mix these up.
I find that extremely irritating as well. Then again, I also find it irritating when people don't use "it's" and "its" correctly, so maybe I'm just a grammar nazi.
Oh my gosh. That's one of my major pet peeves too! When people do that, I sort of think less of them. Not in a really mean way, but like, it's not that difficult to learn to use it correctly.
Yeah, that one is common. I try not to be hard on spelling, typos, and odd word usage anymore if only because I like to read @trunthepaige -'s blog.
@karmavore@ireallylikefood - Oh yeah, I've seen so many people do it. It's crazy.
Their, their, don't worry–I know they're grammar can be irritating when there using it incorrectly, but it's nothing to fret about!
Man! I had to think it over twice so I wouldn't accidentally use one of them correctly...They're is just too much stuff in my mind to think of which one to use. I mean their is so much other things i could say and that is why I can't remember which there(they're, their) to use. They're is too much silliness in my life to handle grammar!
I get annoyed at that too.
Bad grammar is the foundation of the internet. Take it away and the other 10% of the internet will be bored, with nothing to do. And within a year from that moment, the cure for cancer will be found.
heyy thanks for the comment hun! yeah its a bit diff but it works for us =]
That has been making me crazy for years!
@chaospet - Tomarrow? Really? I've never seen that one before.
